replacement bag

I just installed this camelbak into my car, I strapped it to the back of my seat. it's easy to pull out and replace the water bag with a new cold one. So far my biggest issue is keeping the tube somewhere near my mouth, I thought about velcroing the tube to the inside of the helmet.

I have installed this system in several endurance cars that I have prepared and/or driven:
- a 1/2 or 1 gal Igloo thermos, mounted in a fabricated bracket on the floor, or off the roll cage...anywhere it is accessable and safe.
- an aftermarket windshield washer pump (NAPA, Autozone, etc) mounted not more than 2-3 ft from driver.(the pump has a check valve to prevent reverse flow)
- mount momentary switch anywhere it is readily accessable - on side of shifter, on streering wheel, on roll cage, etc...
- run 1/4" tubing from bottle to pump, to driver.....if you want to be "professional" install a fitting for hose into front of helmet, otherwise, attach to shoulder harness, where driver can just put the tube in his mouth
With this system, driver does not need to suck on tube for several seconds before he gets fluid, or find end to "bite" on.
To take a drink, simply open mouth, press button.....driver can do this easily even when very busy.......
From experience:
- DO NOT use ice - COLD liquid will give you stomach cramps
-do not mount bottle above driver's head - it will act like a siphon...much to the amusement of course workers.....
-after event, empty and clean system...

If your after a professional type drink system, we've been using these in Carrera Cup and Aus GT in Aussie for a few years. They work really well.
