I was going to do this CR but bailed out on it. I had a reservation at the Days Inn (269-925-7021) for $49.99/night, but this was back in March. I think this may be a tough weekend due to the holiday. Good luck.

I also checked out the Econo Lodge & Suites, 269-637-5141 616-637-5141 for $79/night.

Hey Joe, Eric from NASA here. Rooms are going to be close to impossible. Probaly be able to get one on Friday but Sat will be the problem. Go to www.pca-chicago.org and look at the DE link, click on that and download the reg. form. At the bottom of the form, there is a list of all area hotels. Try calling around to see if any has backed out of their resv. Look for Jeff and I under the trees in the shade at the track
Mark, too bad you wont be making the trip, its going to be a great weekend.

Eric,

I was going to go with Skip but decided I just didn't feel like towing all the way to Michigan on a holiday weekend, amongst a few other excuses (engagement ring, work schedule, blah, blah, blah). Do have fun up there!

Check for hotels in the Holland and and Zeeland area. A little bit of a drive but worth a try.

You're sending me early to reserve the shade for you, and I don't even get a mention????

You are in the sun, you ingrate. On the asphalt. By the row of porta-potties.

Well at least you used as your avatar the photo of me about to pass you at Putnam last year

Mark, would have loved to have seen you and caught up.

Mike - I will be in the shade with you (arriving Thur PM). I have to be nice to Eric (mentoring my rookie weekend), otherwise I would join you in waving towards his blazing hot, sunshine induced paddock location from the shady tree area

Dave

You're gonna have a ball.

Not just with your first weekend, but watching Eric's pale skin blister in the sun. Then, when the thunderstorms roll in, as the always do at G Man, we can listen to him whimper outside my enclosed trailer as lightning bolts strike all around him.

I get there Thurs pm too. If the shade is already gone, we'll set up near Eurosport.

Almost a quarter of the entry list is F cars. Should be a hoot.

Mike,

I wish I were making it to Gingerman, too. Good luck battling it out there!

Mark,

Let's see what we can do for next year. Arlene wants to plan on the July 4th weekend every year in South Haven if the vacation is good this year which I bet it will be. By next year I'll be ready to trailer all the way out to Gingerman (I hope!).

Oh, okay. So, now that you have your fancy steering wheel, you're all gung-ho about racing again.

Hey, I'll be there camping out. Apparently they let you stay at the track and have showers etc. THAT is the most cost effective way to go. Look me up. Car is in my avatar and I have a charcoal colored 24 ft enclosed trailer.

Sounds like a good time. Just picked up the car tonight... Cage is in, fresh harnesses, getting more obnoxious as a daily-driver by the minute.

Still has CD-player, COLD air conditioning, but now with sunvisor-delete option. Woo hoo!

Mark,

Can't wait for it to show up and get it installed. It will be nice to get the steering wheel out of my thighs and be able to comfortably sit in the car and drive.

The wife and I were talking about driving (instead of flying) to South Haven in a year or two when Olivia is a little older and able to do the drive. She even brought up the idea of when I am trailering the car out there. What a wife...
