Default Aston Martin DBRS9, market competition for GT3 Cup?

Hi folks,

It looks like Aston Martin is trying to get a slice of the very lucrative pie Porsche made for itself with the GT3 Cup. They are selling the DBRS9 as a club-racer for gentlemen racers. I've no idea how capable this car will be, but irrespective of that, it's a damn fine looking machine.

Nice looking car, but how would you find parts and people to work on it ? Porsche has such a huge advantage on the support side of motorsport and that will make it hard for someone like Aston to compete... not to mention the price of the thing. It does look very cool though. The GT3 Cup, Viper comp. coupe and Ferrari 360 all have a big head start. Ford is in there too with their ready made Mustang for GAC. I guess something like that could be made to race in GA Rolex GT and Speed WC. I can't imagine someone showing up at an SCCA event with one anytime soon.

PMNA uses/used Andial to provide the support in NA. I wonder if Aston Martin (Ford) will do the same...
