Question The Isaac "link" VS Isaac "basic" or "intermediate"

I am looking into possibly purchasing one of these models..."link" is only $245 and the intermedaite $895, the site says the only difference is

"The Link™ uses certified mil spec parachute webbing (not dog leash material) in place of the damper assembly to reduce costs."

This forum has been helpful in making intelligent decisions on these matters, so i am looking for what the differences can be...my understanding from the archives is that one of the major difference between hans and Isaac is one uses belts and the other dampers...now the "link" model seem to not have dampers, I am thinking the more expensive one has to be better, may be better in lateral G's....what do you guy's think? any help is greatly apreciated.

The more expensive model is slightly better in load reduction in forward hits, and does have a lateral capability that you don't have with the LINK.

I'm a satisfied ISAAC customer.

If there is not a financial consideration to factor in (often said that an ISAAC or HANS costs the same as one set of R compounds), then I would suggest the ISAAC rental program:
http://www.isaacdirect.com/html/product.html#Rental

You will get an Intermediate ISAAC with all the different kinds of release pins (the difference between Basic and Intermediate is merely the kind of pin:
http://www.isaacdirect.com/html/product.html#Basic
http://www.isaacdirect.com/html/prod...l#Intermediate)
Try it on the track and see how you like it.

If there is a financial consideration, then get the ISAAC Link. Later on, you can replace the tethers with dampers; the ISAAC is a modular design which allows for upgrades.

Purchase something you are comfortable with and drive safely.
