My wife uses this for dusting the floors. I put a paper towel or a terry cloth towel on the end of it and use it to clean the rear window after I sprayed it with some glass cleaner.

Low tech low cost. Windex dampened cloth on a stick. The oldest kid is still too young yet.
I had to get back there once to work on something and was able to get my 6' 1" 200# self back behind the rollbar and 2 fixed Recaros. Being an ex cave guide helps but not worth it to clean the glass.

Too funny! I'm in complete agreement w/ you, but I use this car on the street, too, so I need to see behind me.
