different torque for steel lug nuts?

I use an impact. No problem with it. For track cars I use it to simply set the nuts, not torque them. I use the torque wrench for that. For street cars I sometimes just snug them up with the impact.
Knowing the difference between snugging and hammering the hell out of them is the key.

What Jack said..........very important.........ask me how I know........if you get the wrong type of lug nuts they don't seat in the wheels but just "hit" on a line around the recess in the wheel....not good.
Porsche wheels are different from most others. I think they are called "bell" shaped and the other kind are "acorn" shaped ...........or is it the other way around!
