I was driving in black. I didn't know that they moved you up. I saw you tying your car down in the trailer and was going to try to talk you out of it, but I hate to twist your arm and having something bad happen. The first black run after the rain it was mostly wet when we went out but was 90% dry when we came back in.
I snuck out in white at the Hudson Valley day and followed you for about 6 laps, and you will have no problem in black. While flagging I got that honda s2000 at 1:05 - 1:06 and you passed him the next lap. Try to get in the HCR/HVR May event at WGI. It is open track. Last year I did an honest 10 hours in two days. Plus you can almost surely get Scotto and/or Burger to ride with you. They are both very willing to help as long as you are not serious competition. Scotto was doing 58s yesterday. 2:07 last year at WGI, (In his euro 964).

Alan,
Thank you. I just received confirmation for the HVR/HCP DE at WGI and am looking forward to it.
I don't have rain tires and had a good day up until the rain, so leaving and missing the last run in Black was OK; got home early before my kids went to bed which was a plus.
I don't have a lap timer or stopwatch, so I wouldn't know if 1:05 - 1:06 is about what I should be doing or not!
I will definitely ask some people at WGI if I can get some instruction.
As I have zero desire to Club Race (I enjoy DE), I don't think the word 'competition' will ever come up when referring to me
