928 RACERS @ 48 HOURS OF SEBRING
A special announcement and opportunity from your fellow Florida-based
928ers!
The Florida chapter of the 928 OC is pleased to announce an unprecedented
928 event: we have invited the three 928 racers from the Northeast to make
the trek to Sebring for the PCA "48 Hours at Sebring" club races, February 11-13, 2005!
Why are we doing this, you might ask? To put it bluntly, we want to see some 928 racin' in the Southeast! We figured the closest PCA racers (David Lloyd, Stan Shaw and John Veninger) might be enticed to leave the cold and snow of CT, MA and NJ, respectively, for a trip south. They've all committed and are making the cars and tow rigs ready.
So, the purposes of this note are two:
1. to invite all who are interested to come. See www.48-hours-at-sebring.com for event details
2. to solicit contributions to defray the out of pocket costs involved. See below for details
What's in it for you? Other than everlasting gratitude of all involved in this venture, you'll receive a commemorative of the event (still being established) and a public acknowledgement of your contribution (or not, if you so desire), both on the internet and on the cars. If you are able to attend the races, you will be provided pit and paddock access for that "up close and personal" experience.
How to contribute?
A special PayPal account has been established (email address for PayPal donations is "FL928OC@yahoo.com")
