Default Stand21 pre-drilled (HANS) helmets

http://fransurf.com/lareunion/stand2...nologie-2.html

Does anyone else know of other helmet manufacturers offering factory predrilling?
(starting to look at SA2005 helmets)

Don't know, but It's pretty simple to do so I wouldn't pay a premium or wait for it to be done.

Kim,
It was interesting that the helmet was homologated with the holes predrilled.
Some helmet manufacturers can/may void the warranty, as the holes are viewed as a 'modification' (since the original helmet was not tested/homologated with the holes)

It's just sort of interesting to see where things are headed with SFI38.1, etc.

What a pain....first you must have a SFi38.1 H&H...but then you modify your helmet to accommodate one and now you may void the helmet warranty....I think I'll pick safety over the warranty problem...

What's the big deal with a helmet warranty?

If you need the warranty, you're probably already dead.

George,
I agree. It's just interesting that 'Catch-22' scenarios, as described by Kim, may in fact develop, due to the introduction of uncoordinated standards/requirements.
