Maybe it will be in HD. that would be cool. Hopefully they use the same commentators that do the Speed channel now

I hope they get an announcer or two that has a clue. The ABC stuff was not worth watching.

The phrase "exclusive, domestic broadcast rights" say to me that Speedvision is SOL, unless this new US domestic rights-holder decides to sell the rights for the races CBS won't carry to SV.

Pat Summerall. Ken Squier. Oh, the humanity.

I think that Dan Rather is available so we can get the same quality that CBS brought to the news.

Oh No! David Hobbs is great and you can't say "F*ck" at CBS like he is prone to do.

I just checked the speedtv (I still call it speedvision) program listings:
http://www.speedtv.com/programs/

There is no mention of Formula 1.

Take my belt and shoelaces now.

I can't figure why an American network would cover 4 races, and one of them would not be the US Grand Prix. Anyone got any thoughts on that?

As to why they are covering F1 at all, I think (Hope) it is getting more popular in the US. As for CBS, in my opinion they do a pretty good job with other sports. It would be hard to be worse than ABC was. The problem with mainstream networks doing F1, in my opinion, is that they talk to the audience like it is full of kindergartners. They over explain everything, and figure we are just stick and ballers, who know nothing about F1. At least Speed treats us like adults.
