Default FS 1992 US Carrera Cup

I am going to sell my US Carrera Cup car and before I put it on the classifieds, I thought I would give all my fellow rennlisters an opprtunity to buy it first.

I have a one owner, 53K mile US Carrera Cup car that was never raced. This car is not an andial car, but the original owner did have a Matter cage installed, he also had a 100ltr tank installed by the Porscvhe dealership. It is not a cell, but the larger plastic OEM tank, installed a B&B header/exhaust system. The car was used as a daily driver and did an occassional DE. I acquired the car after the the original owner passed away.I put new tires on the 7s/9s cup wheels. The interior seats are in excellent shape. The caris street legal and would make a wonderful street/track car or a very competitive "D" class racer. These cars are rare, as 45 of them were made for the original US Carrera Cup seriies, but several were developed into pro racecars and a few found a wall here and there. This is an opportunity to get a car that is not depreciating and very fast. I recently sold my other US Cup for over $72K and because of the miles, I think the fair price of this one is $66,500. I would keep it but I have two other racecars and my wife is at her limit of understanding my weakness for cars that sit in the garage.

Any interest, please PM me.

Definitely more than a fair price, good luck Jim. I wish I could buy all of your cars that come up for sale b/c they all seem to be first class.

Jim,
Was this the one from here in Charleston? If not it is a very similiar story to a local 964 US cup.

That will be a great car for someone Jim. It's the only factory imported RS the US has ever seen and the performance is spectacular. Expect to be a front runner in D if you decide to race it in PCA. In good hands and properly set-up the car is capable of 2:10's at WG, 1:38's at Road Atalnta, 1:46 at CMP, and 2:28 at Sebring. Full seam welded chasis, aluminum hood, factory blueprinted "high engine", light flywheel, big brakes ect. They will not lose any value and will likely appreciate. Try finding a 73 RS for under 130k nowdays. These cars will beat a 73 RS on the track even at PCA weight limit. Can you tell I love mine !!!

I agree, when I raced my previous US Carrera Cup the worse finish I had was a 4th at CMP, all my other races were podiums. I am embarassed to say why I got that 4th... when the my new tires were put on at the track, the tire company put a 245 on the rear wheel and I didn't catch it until I was wrestling the car around the turns during the race. The icing on the cake about these cars is they can be driven on the street.

I am calling my father to see if he's interested in a 50/50 deal.

Summit Point PCA race 2003 I had 4 964 D Cups finish in front of me turning 1:23:1-1:23:3 to my fastest lap of 1:23:7 in C. One of our local D cup cars raced GTC1 in 2004. Lightened up the car?

Yes, I would be happy to post them, but honestly, it looks like a white/blk C-2 that has been lowered with a full cage. If you want pictures let me know.
