Thumbs up

Mailed Form and Check for Club Race today. Was trying to resist but, after a good weekend at RRR and given the participation at Sebring, I could not pass it up.

I have a kitty litter report for the HWFM Team:

The off course traps at Turn 5 at Roebling Road are very soft sand, that is very deep. If possible, drive into them straight. This prevents us from seeing the bottom of your race car and makes it easier for tow truck extraction.

See everybody at Sebring!

Oh No. I was the one that went into the trap at Trun 5 during qualifying in the Red Group on Sunday AM.

My story is....I went into the trap on lap 4 but it only took me 3 laps to get a HOT lap anyway.

Cornerworker Art and I had a good 20 minute conversation about the correct way to take turn 5, the abrasive racing surface at RRR, etc.

Well, nice of you to socialize with the hard working corner staff. Actually, there is no one way of going through any turn. On that particular one, for the weekend I must have done it 59.5 different ways.

Turn 4 got me during the feature but I made it back on and finished well considering. Roebling is a lot more forgiving than Sebring can be though...Good luck and I'll see you in sunny central Florida.

Mac and Bill

Sorry I've been away from this thread for a bit.

Mac.
I'm looking forward to seeing you and your new rocket. I think Bill Economos is going from here. You two should have fun mixing it up. Unfortunately I'm flying down Thursday and back on Monday morning. I don't think I'll be able to bask in the sunshine anywhere but Sebring.

Tim
Sad story well told. I hope your car is ok. Obviously, your sense of humor is. Any pictures Princeton can put on the map.

Mike,

Car is okay. However, I broke turtle rule #1 and actually won I Class. I will try to minimize my transgressions to a minimum of 1 per month.

Way to go for the victory. Winning is cool, as long as it is tempered by at least one HWFM moment.

I sent my DE registration into Nick earlier this week - can't wait for February to come around.

Last year my wife and I worked up in Timing & Scoring. This year, I'm participating in DE and really looking forward to three days of track time (assuming my car holds up!) This year my wife - aka Rev Limiter - will probably work timing and scoring again with a few of her friends.

Payoffs and bribes now being accepted

Hey Terry, hows the move going? Are you going to continue doing a great job for Gold Coast?

Hey Mitch - the move to Tampa has gone well. We're in the new place and I'm hemoraging money as we buy new furniture - you know the drill.

Despite moving into a new region, I've retained my Gold Coast webmaster and registrar duties. We need to get one more track day on the '05 calendar. You'll see that we don't have a date Homestead just yet, but Dan's working on that!
