It's a track, not a museum and sh*t happens when you drive fast/race. To pay for repairs is one thing, but if these amounts are true or near true, that's a lot of money.

Three Wheelin'
A930Rocket, I have to disagree with your statement; to Mr Barber, the entire facility is a museum. He lets us pay to play on his property, what he doesn't do is pay for the damages that people cause to his place. If someone drove a truck through your yard, went through a wall in your house, then spilled diesel fuel all over your driveway, you'd want them to pay to fix the damages, correct?? Same thing when someone goes off track here and hits something. It's a first class racetrack in the Southeast US. He's spent over 60 million in the facility since its opening, all he's trying to do is keep it GREAT for years to come.

All I can say is Have you been there? Jason is right on the money! And apparently Mr Barber bought the "Good" stuff to build a race facility. It shows! both in appearance and performance. .01c .01c

I'm not saying people shouldn't have to pay, I'm questioning the amounts. They seem excessive, but then again, I've not heard the numbers first hand or or seen the damage.

I am with the rocket on this one. I really have no idea at all what its costs to make the repairs, but those examples sound excessive. If they can make it work with PDE and other high dollar corporate events, then more power to them. If they price out PCA and SCCA, sooner or later they will sell out to the France Family of Fine Racing!
