Guys, you have it wrong. If Alan Wilson was truly the "Howard Roark" of race track design he would not blow it up if his design was implemented exactly as he specified. However, if it was modified in any way from his vision then he would get his girlfriend to blow it up.

Good points by everyone. I guess I look a the older tracks, and look at the newer tracks he is designing and it seems like they are much "tighter".

He has definitely established himself as a track designer/architect. I'd like to see more tracks like Watkins Glen, and VIR myself... I guess that just won't happen any more.

To me, Mosport is the best all off things: lots of linked turns, some high speed corners where the wheat is separated from the chaff, huge elevation change, and some decent straights to help traffic flow.

Bob,

Are they still going ahead with Calabogie? Lasdt I heard, there was the inevitable politics at work. As the web site has not been updated for god knows how long, I a very out of date in this. The layout looks fabulous though.

yup,Mosport is awesome,so is Mt. tremblant,(no I'm not a canuck)But if you like fast tracks that have fast sweepers L's and R's Up hills down hills and are technical these are worth the trip up north. The only better place was Bridgehampton. All 3 designed by the same person.Calabogie looks to be blast.also located in a fun resort area like Mt. tremblant, yeeha can take the fam.
