BTW, Here's my offer for Colorchange. I'm considering coming down to Putnam Park next week to check his tire pressures, free of charge...

Sunday Driver,
I'm more of a lurker, but I wish to pass on my congrats! That's truly an awesome achievement that requires no qualifications.
CC,
Although no slight may have been intended, I almost find that hard to believe. By including qualifiers like not knowing the size of the field, and not knowing the level of competition in SCCA, you are intentionally discounting Sunday's achievement. Furthermore, by attempting to analyze Sunday's performance with absolutely no knowledge of the circumstances, you help to solidify everyone elses opinion of you.
Please feel free to post the ski results from your races. I'd be more than willing to analyze your performances, as I've graduated from the bunny hill, and I'm certain that I could really improve your performances there.
When you can run with great drivers in equal cars, in a real race, I think you can start offering advice/commentary on someone elses performance. Until then, while you're still using equipment to aid your laptimes, instead of skill, I'd hold off on the analysis.

All of us here are asking you to read more, think more, try to learn more... and post much less frequently.
I'll also offer my congratulations to SundayDriver. That's a hell of a great finish.

Hi all,
I am back. What a fantastic week. I did not have access to this forum but a few members sent me the text of some of these messages. I really appreciate the support and great messages from everyone (well almost everyone) here. I am hooked on this event - no other race like it that I have ever run. If you are an SCCA racer, there are two events that are must do, if you are able; June Sprints and Run Offs. It was an incredibly challenging week and I could not have asked for better results for my first time there. I will get a write up done over the next day or so and see if I have some decent video clips that can be posted. The race was full of action at the start as I avoided a big mess in the second corner (T8) and had some great racing - passing, getting passed and re-passing in most cases. I had a great battle at the end (I didn't know it was one of the front cars that had a flat and we were not racing for position) - from friends in the T7 stands, we gave them a great show of repeated braking battles into the corner.
Again, thanks everyone for the support. It meant a lot during the week.
BTW - The car ran with HWFM logos on both sides. Photos soon.

Thanks for the offer to do analysis at no charge. This is my hobby and I appreciate the help of many people in this endeavor - some paid, some not. If you want to participate in my racing efforts, here are my requirements for team members:
1) Must be civil in their dealings with others.
2) Must have a demonstrated sense of humor.
3) Must bring a mix of technical/theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
4) Must be able to clearly make their case, without childish tantrums or deciding to ignore people when they do not agree.
5) Must be able to convince other team members when they are right.
6) Must admit to other team members when they are wrong.
7) If they are a general supporter, they have to be fun to be around.
8) If they are in the role of technical support, they must have some sort of experience in the area.
Feel free to post your qualifications here. I have a data engineer/coach with a strong resume, but there is room for another if you measure up.
