Schattenbaum Region PCA will be hosting a Drivers Ed event at Watkins Glen on October 18-19. This event has been previously organized by Jamie Ford and publicized on Rennlist. For logistical purposes, it will now be hosted by Schattenbaum as a PCA D.E. event. This will be one of the last opportunities to drive at the Glen this season.
Those who've have run with us before know we run a very enjoyable event, with lots of track time. We will still run only 3 run groups, however the event is now open to novice/instructed drivers. The number of students will be limited to number of available instructors, so sign up NOW if you're interested.
Entrance fees are:
Instructed drivers $ 275
Non-instructed drivers $255
Instructors $180
The entrance fee now includes dinner at the Glen Club on Monday night.
Registration forms can be downloaded from our website at www.schattenbaum.org.
Questions?
For event info, contact Dan Petchel at track@schattenbaum.org (609-298-2277) or Greg Harvell at registrar@schattenbaum.org (609-259-3593).
Hope to see lots of Rennlist-ers at the Glen,
Jon Schepps

Jon,
Thanks for posting the update and for helping coordinate the event. I should ad that continental breakfast in the garage is also included in the price as originally posted on Rennlist. There were a number of Rennlisters who expressed interest in having a novice group and with Shcatenbaum taking over the hosting this is now possible. Run groups will still be small with about 2 hours and 20 minutes of track time per driver each day. Hope to see some of you at the Glen in October. Thanks.

Schattenbaum always runs a good DE event and I love Watkins Glen. I wish that I could make this event, but I really don't think I'll be able to.
Jon, what's the latest I can sign on (in case my schedule changes)?
Thanks.

Obviously we want you sign up as early as possible, but we'll accept registrations any time. It'll help immensely if you get your paperwork in at least a week ahead of the event.
Students can only be confirmed based on the availability of instructors.
Thanks for the good words regarding our events.
Jon.

My friend Chris has run his RSX-S (which he got from me lol) at a few of these (it's his home region and his roommate's dad has a 914 that he club-races), and said he really got a LOT out of it - unfortunately he's in Florida now, but I'm hoping to be ready to join you folks in a few weeks!!
