Default ROLL CALL: GAC/PCA Race @VIR...

...going??

...racing or watching??

I've gone ahead and signed up...car still in pieces...I've got a good 3 weeks left though!

WHO is my competition in D, E and F class? I'm running D-prepared, but seem to spend a lot of time fending off/making way for E and F class racers...it's a fun group to be in.

I look forward to seeing who's going to be there, whether racing or watching - you handy with a torque wrench??

I'll be there in G for both Sprint and Enduro. Not looking forward to the 6am rise for an 8:30am green flag! Should be a great two days of spectating too.

I agree...personally, I think the schedule is a little ridiculous.

On Saturday and Sunday, once the race is over, first thing in the AM...we're done for the day. Hey, at least that gives us a clear shot at enjoying the rest of the "show".

I can see it now, "Hey guys (talking to a group of friends) did you see me in the race??"

Friend's responding: "What race?? We got to the track ~9, was there a race already?"

I'll be there in D, Jeff, looking momentarily at the finely detailed paintwork on your rear spoiler.

Good luck Karl!
Robin and I will be there with the kids rootin' you on. I'm going to video tape, and I'll send you a DVD of it if you like.

Robert, I'll buy the beer if you root for ME too!

I'd like to see the footage you record, that would be cool.

Mark, that's funny, my fear is that the scenario you painted will be the other way around!

Either way, it'll be a good race, lots of fun and "eye candy" if you're a "car guy" fer sure!

NO RAIN, NO RAIN, NO RAIN, NO RAIN...everybody do your best "anti-rain" dance!

Fear not, Jeff. I'm sure I'll be behind you. My top two excuses are: 1) I can't hear the AC going with the helmet on and had no idea it was running; 2) how did that handbrake handle get pulled up?

I dunno Mark, your car is LOWER than mine, we both have Fikses and pretty stickers...it'll be close...but wait, I taught you everything I know!! ...which could bring you to a disadvantage?

The start is going to be exciting, I've never had a start at VIR in the Porsche...Mark, do you want the inside or the outside into turn ONE??

I'll be in there in old #53, rain or shine I'm actually looking forward to the early race schedule. I'll have plenty of time to watch the pros run and if I get bored, I can head home early on Sunday.

More stickers=better laminar flow.

You may have taught me everything you know but, unfortunately, I was too busy trying to figure out where the hell I was on the track!

GREAT to hear you'll be there Manny, I look forward to the pass during the endurance race ~WHOOSH!!~ ...now if you lap me during the SPRINT race, I apparently have some more "homework" to do!

Mark, there isn't much that I do know!! Hopefully you've gotten better info. from those "seasoned" fellas like Manny, Mark F. and the like.

FWIW, you found your way around that track pretty darned good...have you been there since??

Jeff,

I have about four solo track days there since you showed me the way. I've not received any more instruction at VIR and am in desperate need of it this weekend with Potomac's DE; hope to get some pointers from a fast guy or gal.

WHY don't you just install a DAS like some OTHER guys on this board that swear on them?

Just joking CC.

Good to see that someone else is getting a few days in at VIR prior to the race...as for me, I'm getting my weekend in the weekend before the race!
