I 've stayed at a Mountainview Motel in G. barrington. Around $60 to $70/ night. Its not the greatest but its relatively clean, hot water, cable tv and a bed. Micky D's is accros the street for a quick breakfast sandwich. Crap, I forgot to book a room for next Wednesday night. I think I will look online for the Holiday Inn and check it out.

I was wrong. I stayed at monument Mountain on route 7 in Barrington. But I just booked a room at Mountanview. $50. Next to Butternut Basin ski area, and near the Barrington brewey!!!!! I'll have to give my opinion of the place after my stay.

Default Place to stay near Lime Rock

I've used the Iron Masters at least a dozen times and have not been disappointed. It's no Ritz Carlton but the rooms are clean and the owner/staff and very pleasant. Plus, it's real close to the track.

I know this doesn't answer your specific question but..... since you are coming up from Jersey you have the option of staying in Danbury. I haven't checked room rates there but there are several hotels in the Danbury area. I commute to LRP for track days and it's about 1:30 from my house in CT and it's not too bad. From Danbury it's about a 50-60 minute drive straight up RT. 7.

There are also some smallers hotels lining Rt. 7 for the fall leaf watchers. Again, I don't know quality but if you hook up with one of those you could have a 30 min drive and probably save a bunch of money.

Okay, now I'm really interested in finding out some more about this brewery. Do they serve food there too? Best route to get there from the track?

I'm getting up to Lime Rock wednesday night (probably after 8 p.m.). Who wants to get together thursday evening for dinner? Where shall we meet??

My cell phone # is: (914) 548-5084.

Hey,

I think that the brewery is the new "unofficial" post track gathering place. It's in Great Barrington no the way to the Mass Pike. Not sure what the road is. See me at the track. I'm probably doing the drivers meeting or just ask for me.

I'll be boating into the mountain view around 8 tonight. I 'll be checking out the brewery tonight also.
