Jeff,
I know about the GFCP, I've been know to hit it once in a while. Not to go on a tangent, but why do people like Hoosiers so much? I really think they are classified wrong by most organizations. I have no idea what makes them R-compound qualified. When I think of R-compound, I think of a street tire with groves and steel belts that can actually be driven on the street safely (not in the rain). The Hoosiers have more in common with slicks than with other R-compound tires. Now, as a slick, they rate at the bottom of the scale. I'm not sure how/why/who they paid off to get classified as an R-compound.
Ok, back on topic, if you really want to go fast, use slicks. I've been using them for a while and can't have fun without them. I'm not sure how much they would help at TWS, but I know that at MSR they make a significant difference.

Anyone running Hoosiers in 245/35 - 305/30? Does this mess with the ABS?
