Default HELP: Recommendation for DE in MA

Any recommendations?

What kind of school is out there and which ones are better suited for me?

No experience before and I am looking for 1day or 2 day courses.

I am also considering personal 1 on 1 education too.

Are there instructors out there to teach me at all?

I am looking all over internet for 3 hrs now and cant find any......

Try www.trackschedule.com for listings.

What brand of car do you drive... try a local BMW or Porsche club and see what events they are sponsoring!

You might look into "auto-cross" if you haven't tried that yet. Is a little safer for starting out!

You could try Lime Rock in Connecticut. Not too far from Mass. and they have what you are looking for. Skip Barber schools has training of all types from open wheel cars to trucks. Lime Rock web page has info.

Dale and Adam's track schedule does a good job of covering Northeast events. You can find it at http://vista.pca.org/jsr/jsrpca/dales.htm . As mentioned, join PCA and you gain access to lots of track time with qualified instructors, and, compared to some, you can't beat the prices.

Sports Car Drivers Association is an independent organization that runs DE events at LRP, NHIS and WGI. Run by Ian Prout. Great guy, usual corp of instructors. www.scda1.com. Next NHIS date is 9/27.

Still a few spaces at Lime Rock next Saturday (28th). Check out separate thread on this.

Otherwise, join the BMW CCA and/or PCA. Both Boston chapters allow members to run any marque of car.

vty,

The NCR-PCA (North Country Region) just had DE at NHIS (Loudon, NH) on Aug 23/24, and there is another on Oct 11/12th (still room in Green run group). $110 for each day, you can do either or both. You get four 20-min run sessions with an instructor each day.
