Question Bilstein 5150 Shocks

Just curious if anyone knows anything about the new offering from Bilstein. I checked the webpage and couldn't find any information. I have a call into a rep. These shocks have the reservoir mounted to the shock body and apparently incorporate some new patented cross-flow technology, whatever that means.

TIA for any info.

Best regards,
Sam

I think the 5150 are off road truck shocks. I think they are too long for car applications. Who knows, they might make them for our cars one day.

Mark,

Don't tempt me! Maybe after helping out at the Club Race, I'll make the jump. The slippery slope is like a Jackson Hole triple black diamond right now.

Thanks George, you may be right.

Hi Sam:

Indeed, the 5150 shocks are offroad things only as I just sold a set to a local customer for his 4WD PU.

They are pretty zoomy and give 12"-14" of travel, are rebuildable and externally adjustable,.....

Thanks Steve! Might be the way to go if I want to get a few inches of lift and run TSL Superswampers on the 993! Maybe an air-cooled swamp buggy.

Regards,
Sam
