Default Advice on Trailer Awnings

I recently purchased a 24' Millenium enclosed trailer. I regret not getting the awning option.

Questions:

1. Where can I get one?

2. How much do they cost?

3. Are they hard to install?

4. How do they perform and hold up? I've used an EZ-up and although a nice unit they're dangerous when it's windy.

TIA

Hey Lance;

Of course, the EZ UP is pretty cool rig. As long as you get the heavy duty models, and use them wisely, they will take a tremendous beating. I'm using a 6 year-old hand-me-down Eclipse II 10'x20' that has been through snow at Watkins Glen and gail force winds and deluges at Sebring. Still going!

For awnings, you need to shop at RV stores. Camping World and the like will have what you need. Carefree and A&E Systems are the two biggies. They offer lots of options and ranges. Usually between $700-1500. Modern awnings are outstanding pieces of design, and if used wisely will last for YEARS.

I'm going to be adding one to the side of my Cube Van at some point. Too many items on the wish list!

whatever you do make sure you get the strongest arms available, as some are sold with flimsy arms that will break in windy conditions.

Any recommendations on a good online RV store?
