Skip,
I can only think of one car that I would want as a dual use vehicle. 996GT3. Make that two, a 996 GT2. If that is not in your budget think about getting a 944 Turbo or similar. Much less up front money and you will keep your 993 looking good. I love racing my 993 but the smarter move (and probably a more fun, competitive class) would have been to get a 944 Turbo or Turbo S (stock classed car, not a GT car)

If I could get 50% of what I have in my 993, I would take the money and get a well prepared 944 Turbo S, or break the bank and get a 996 GT3Cup. If I got the Cup car I would also have to get a divorce, so that would be a really expensive option.

Skip,

To echo Greg's comments, have you looked into the 944Cup series around here? Derecola (sp?) does a great job with that series and it seems to be competitve within the classes. I think Tony made the jump and runs his car in NASA races. At the last Summit event, the racing was very competitve.

Not just that but your ex would look good driving your ex-cup car around!
