Tony, thanks, I think that will be a help. I think I mentioned above, I have a set of one piece BBS 15" wheels, that came with the 944S. They have a set of dry rotted 215-60-15's on them. The guy I got the car from did not know anything about them, other than he thought they came off some sort of Audi. I tried them and they fit with plenty of fender clearance. I may try them, if I can't modify a set of 6" Fuchs.

Bill, these are the 14x7s - ignore the scale, that's a friend of mine playing around, weighed 'em a few times and they come in right over 12, right under 12, right at 12 - figure they are 12.
