Oh, don't you worry! I'll be bringing by Swedish Fish, too. Red ones...

What a weekend. I'll have a separate topic in a bit with some video. For my first time with this car on VIR (*not my first time at VIR), I wasn't sure how it would do. I was disappointed to run out of fuel on the last corner of the last lap of Race TWO, but I was happy with the overall performance. The AIM dash was showing 2 gallons fuel and bone dry of fuel on pit road, so somewhere along its prior ownership, they didn't calibrate the unit to the sender in the tank, or the sender is failing. Because the car is still "new" to me, I didn't know this was an issue because I failed to drain the tank and measure the actual amount of fuel. Live and learn.

Track hangover in full effect!!
HUGE thank you to everyone at Zone 2 and PCA National for putting together an amazing weekend at an amazing track. VIR really is one of the best tracks in the country! We need to do our part to make sure to support this great event next year ...
Our racers in CUP had some very, very tight battles - putting down fast lap after fast lap up and down the field; every single racer ran in the 2:10s or better, a threshold that just a couple of years ago would have earned a track record!! Well done, gents.

It was a great event for sure! Weather turned out much, much better than predicted. While I managed to run 1:50.6 in quality, that wasn’t good enough to keep up with Joel in race 1 or Bob in race 2. Oh well, maybe next time. And now on to Lime Rock!

Black qualifying
I need to offer my apology to the driver of the blue/orange sp3.
Sorry for the dive bomb into t1 on the opening lap..
No excuse for it, but let me explain what happened. I fogot to put fuel in the car before our session. I only had enough fuel for a couple of laps. Rather than come in and miss qualifying, I made the poor descion to to try to make a time on that first green lap and was pushing too hard on cold tires...
I ultimately paid a big price for my descion later (in the uphill esses). but also pulled a dick move on you, and for that owe you an apology...

oh stop. He’s already got a big head, you’re just feeding it!
lol
I saw the video. Way worse has been done to me and everyone. He was actually quite polite about it.
Now get things back together and let’s go racing again. You got me into the SPC thing!
