Default IMSA at LRP this weekend

Anyone going? I’ll be there with my two kids. Up bright and early to make it to the Porsche paddock in time to sign up for the parade laps (pretty tame compared to how the car is usually driven on track there, but the kids love it!).

Im happy with the revised race schedule too. Fingers crossed the forecast stays accurate and the weather will be good.

It sucks the GS class not included.... makes no sense to me and a slap in the face of long time LRP fans.....

It also doesn’t make a whole lot of sense that MX-5 Cup doesn’t run at LRP as it would be an amazing track for them. Sadly, LRP is a really weird track insofar as being too small for (most) prototype cars and no racing on Sunday. Financially, I understand it doesn’t really even make sense for IMSA to show up but LRP manages to convince them to do what they can just to hold on to the cachet of being a destination for a big series. Definitely not perfect but I’m still just happy it’s still running at all at our little track.

This was the trade off for GS running alone in Detroit during the Indy Car race. I think Detroit GP Invited IMSA to participate

they had p3/GSX today as the VP race. Like a one off GS. Lots of BMWs.

That was some good racing in P3 and GSX. does anyone know if the GS and GSX CARS AND SETUPS ARE COMPLETELY 100% INTERCHANGEABLE?

The GS and GSX cars the 99.9% same, only difference would be amount of fuel they carry and any additional quick reful equipment that might be needed for pitstops in GS. The setups would be slightly different for GS because of the added weight from additional fuel, and there would likely be an emphasis on improved tire life.
