Default PDK pan gasket failure

Had my 2013 Boxster S teched for Jul 28-30 DE at Summit Point. Just completed the Jul 7-9 DE also at Summit. My PDK pan was covered with fluid, not dripping but heavily coated. No PDK performance issues during the DE so the tech caught the issue early. Checked later and had one tiny drip on the garage floor. My shop confirmed failing gasket. While I could have gotten the Porsche PDK pan kit from FCP or another make for a discount I went ahead and paid the premium for the kit from the dealer. I will get the car back this afternoon from my indy.

I had the PDK and diff fluid changed early last year. I did not change the pan and filter as I understand the filter is very coarse.

Car has about 40 track days and 40K miles. Started tracking it in the Spring of 2020.

Curious, considering you track your Boxster, you didn't want to go to the LN Engineering pan?

Too expensive IMO for what it offers. I've never had limp mode for the PDK. As I understand it the PDK filter is very coarse. A TPC tech said for DE just change all fluids more often. A Cobb tune is on the wish list as much for the PDK and diff temps as the HP.

An alloy "OEM" pan knock-off is also available, is reusable, has a replaceable filter and is less $ than OEM
