Road America tire wear- Cup 2s
First time at RA coming up and a question for wear on a 992 TT
Current Cup 2s have seen 5 track days and I have 2 days planned at RA next week. Home track is notoriously hard on the left sides.
My question is how do tires wear at RA? Is it worth swapping sides? My current tread depth on my rears is
drivers rear 5.5/32 outside, 6/32 middle, 5/32 inside
passenger rear 5/32 out, 7/32 middle, 4/32 inside
thanks in advance

According to those measures, that’s pretty good wear! And plenty left.

For me personally, the cup 2 would cycle out after ~6 days. Plenty of tread left any time I was "done" with them - so like someone else said keep an eye on the grip levels. You'll be fine with 7 days just dont expect any pb's

Be aware when a tire becomes “heat cycled out,” that generally the way to tell this is that the BALANCE of the car changes, ONE end of the car becomes more unresponsive (understeer) or slidey (oversteer) CONSISTENTLY.
If the tires are overheated, the loss of grip is global and relatively equal.
