Whaddya gotta do around here to get a race report? C'mon guys spread a little love around to those of us who dutifully stayed home honoring various mothers...

Race Car
Mitch, I corrected your link to pca.org - there was a "," at the end that was automatically included by our software.
I'd like to hear about the tire wear experienced...I've heard that it's HORRIBLE due to some resurfacing or "grating" of some areas of the track?? I was talking to a tire rep. who says people were cording tires in ONE session!??

Jeff,
This was my first time on Hoosiers so I have very limited experience. I scrubbed in a set of 245x35x18 and 285x35x18 for a friend and corded the rears in less than a session. Hoosier made good and replaced them with a new set of 275's.
My tires (245/275) were cycled on Friday Morning. I drove 2 sessions on them Saturday afternoon and qualified and raced them Sunday. I THINK by the race they were shot. I was sliding everywhere...could have been pressures or my driving, but I was not at all happy with the stick of the car.
The track itself gave great grip on the new shaved concrete. The asphalt was slick by comparison. We had a nice day Thursday for DE, downpour most of the day Friday and awesome weather Sat/Sun.

Jeff,
My car was sliding quite a bit for the race as well, G2. Having experienced the track a few weeks ago I elected to sacrifice as set of much cheaper Khumo's and sacrifice I did. They were toast when I came in from the race.
