What a great event! Huge thanks to Manifold and Bruce and all drivers, candidates, mentors, instructors and volunteers.
You all were the best! Safe! Fast! Our track was busy all day, and then we celebrated, bench racing and enjoying bbq at long tables together.
Mindy beta tested her new candidate/mentor program and identified a number of intermediate drivers interested in instructing in the future. Because our instructors worked hard, Mindy was able to give coaches to all blue and white solos who requested.
I can't take credit for the weather, but Mindy and I sure take credit for inventing Metro happy hours. Talk about fun.
Thank you to everyone who sent nice thoughts by email, text and social media. My mailbox is overflowing and it makes me smile.
Most of all I want to thank Mindy for buying a Porsche and bringing me to the racetrack in 2004--this was all her idea!
This was our vision of what a metro de could look like, Mindy and me. We planned to make our events the envy of every region and keep Metro financially secure. And I was cooking even more plans for education and fun to share with all of you soon.
Unfortunately, on Sunday morning our club president and former CI, Bill Rudtner, took away our authority and I quit on the spot. Mindy too. There’s no working with him.
We found a great brewery in Chambersburg with a parking lot big enough for my trailer and watched football on Sunday afternoon, so we couldn't say goodbye to all our old and new friends.
I'll be driving with my friends at Niagara, RTR, Schattenbaum and others. Hope to see all of you round the paddock. Let's always have safe, fast fun together.
For me, there's life after Metro DE. The future will tell if there's life left in Metro DE.

Fantastic event you and Mindy put on for Metro!!
I know it was a lot of work, all done for the betterment of the participants and the club.
Much appreciated...wish it wasn't so.

To paraphrase Der Professional lurker (hi), “If you’re going to be an agent of change, you should expect the door to hit you in the face. “
On that note, I’m done here. “See you all ‘round the paddock”. 🚗

Just cause you’re done with Metro doesn’t have to mean you’re done with Rennlist, yes? Please hang around. Please.
