I don't yet, but it was my fault. Did a money shift on the main straight on the race prior... Motor seemed ok for the end of that race and clearly for the first 3 laps of this final... Coming around the left hander, I heard a slight racket, looked left and the unknown GTA car that ended up running with us in Orange was at my side and knowing how gurglie those can sound, thought, it was that car..... Banged the right onto no name and "bam"... more smoke than I have ever seen. Coming down from speed the car filled up so fast with smoke, it was amazing. 2-3 seconds, still going 80-90 I'd guess and I couldn't even see the steering wheel, looked left, couldn't see the side of the track or the Armco.... So I hauled it down and hoped to heck I didn't get rear ended as I was trying to determine if it was smoke or fire.... and trying to do the math as to how hard I was gonna get hit from behind, while trying to get out of the car, (knowing no one could see me) or stay in and try not to burn.... Fun times!
After it was all said and done, no oil under the car (so nothing protruding), just a ton out the tailpipes, so guessing pistons, valves, maybe crank?

We are all trained to aim at the flagger in the Right Hander but having four cars hit there is a bit unusual.
The pictures will be here:

On Facebook under CVRPCA
Some are on FaceBook but I don't think the others are up yet. Soon I am told.
Good luck in your next races. Hope to see you all back next year.
Regards,
Mark Lewis
CVR Club Race Director

Steve and Darius's fast driving dragged me to a PB 54.1. I was hoping to see something in the 53s but I never managed that one consistent lap where I put it all together.
Many thanks to the Race Director Mark Lewis, as well as all the volunteers from CVR and PCA National.

There are some nice photos up on Facebook now.
Fun weekend! Not great finishing results because of bad starts, oh and really tough competition Did finally break a minute in SP3 with a 59.3 and got my first ever workers' choice award - Only took me five years!
Big shoutout to Van for the spare steering rack and new axle nut. Trevor Dawe came through with some power steering fluid after I got it all back together at about 7pm on Friday - ordered replacements for you guys today.
