It is also true Vanthoor drove onto the grass to make the pass. Really the only question is is it OK to protect the lead by driving off into the grass to defend.

You just don't comprehend what you are seeing. Vanthoor does a classic PIT maneuver on Jaminet....and it starts well before the frame you have chosen to show. It's what happens when you put your nose where it doesn't belong in a corner exit with room for one car. Vanthoor knew that Jaminet had to run out to the edge of the track yet he kept his nose in there while trying to stay on the track himself. It was Jaminet's corner.....

Doesn’t matter what you guys (or we all) think.

There’s a rather ambiguous statement in the rule book that says “IMSA may…”

Well, IMSA chose not to.

This is not Club racing, fellows…

Good, hard racing.

Wonder if they would have called it differently if it was Porsche vs Ferrari, or if it was the leader who got spun. Since LV ended up only hurting himself, that probably factored into the no call.

I love that this thread morphed into a "whose corner is it" debate.

The 2 car is for sale. Only $425000. 34 hours on the chassis, engine and transaxle.

That’s a good price for a 991.2 3R. I was in the market for a “.1” variant but decided to wait until the 992 version comes out to see if the 991.2s see a price drop as the various teams unload them.

I believe this was a one off for this team and IMSA. I’m guessing someone decided to sell rather than deal with the cost and time of shipping to the Far East.

Would that be a good DE car if I am just starting out?

Do you monitor your lap times and do you buy track insurance?

Can you imagine the looks you'd get if you rolled a GT3 R off the truck at a DE?!?!

I know someone who tracks one regularly. Truth.
He wins the DE every time if he doesn’t spin off track ..
