Demon Speed takes an engineering design and test approach to the product that we create.

The image above shows the design cycle for the new Demon Speed Inner Control Arm. It starts with a design, which is modeled in Solidworks.

Then, this design is 3d printed to verify that all of the features of the model are to the sizes that are expected, and in many cases, can be mock assembled to test fit.

Engineering drawings are then created for the purpose of manufacturing the product.

Prototypes are created and tested. In this case, we took our prototypes and tested them by having a tensile test done to them to be sure that the material used was as strong as the Porsche original.

What we found during testing was that the threads in the aluminum housing were stronger than the 12.9 grade bolt that we used for testing. The bolt broke at 200,000 PSI, which is about 25% stronger than the minimum requierment for the 12.9 bolt.

The housing ? completely unaffected by the test (other than the marks on the OD from the Tinius Olsen tensile machine test fixture we used.
