so, after a long hiatus, I'm back with the same damn issue. bigger return line did nothing, nor did running fluid to the top with a remote container.
I don't think its an issue with either cavitation or running low on fluid. It has to be a powersupply issue that gets momentarily interrupted. The reason its slow to return is that the pump is spinning up again. I will be going through the wiring again, but its really very simple so I'm not sure what the issue might be here.
Data log the pump voltage at the pump supply fuse. If it is a power interruption or a voltage reduction you will know immediately if it is correlated to the heavy steering.
What control signal are you using to turn the pump on/off?
