Recaro SRDs or Corbeau Forza/FX1s??
I am getting ready for my first DE in a few weeks and upon reading the tech forms, my region requires matching seats.
I bought my car last November and the PO had installed a Recaro SRD for the driver and left the passenger as stock. There are Simpson 5pt harnesses on both sides. I spoke to the event organizer and said he would let it slide since there are harnesses on both sides, but that matching seats are preferred.
I am thinking about either picking up another SRD/Speed or going fixed back and getting some Corbeau Forzas or FX1s.
I have the original drivers seat and if I purchased fixed back seats, I would probably only use them for the track. The SRDs would be kept in the car all of the time.
Anybody have any suggestions? Should I look at Sparco and Recaro fixed back?
Thanks,
Max

Max,
If you already have one SRD, the cheapest and easiest way to go is to buy another. Look at [url]www.on-trackperformance.com for a good prices on Recaro SRD's. For after market Porsche seating, the Recaros also provide high qualilty.
When (if) you're ready to install racing shells, you can sell the SRD's as a pair. Good luck.

Advanced
SRD's are fantastic seats. I love mine. Call Russ at RPM racing. They had a great deal on them last year when I got mine. Now if I could just get him to send me my invoice...

I definitely like my SRD. I thought about the Corbeau Forza because they are only about $550 for 2 versus about $550 for one SRD/Speed.
Anybody know where I can find used SRDs/Speed??? Also, how much are sliders/adapters? Is the install easy?
Thanks,
Max

I guess I am confused as the Recaro website sells a set of sliders for the 944 to work with the Speed.
To confirm, I can just unbolt my stock passenger seat and bolt in a new Speed?
Thanks,
Max
