Great race and usually great weather in mid summer. Spacious paddock for campers and trailers.

I am signed up in 911CUP.

I won't be there, but look forward to driving Brainerd one day. Went there as a kid tagging along with my parents to a PCA event.

I'll be there.....always a fun event!! Great people!

For the next lap in The Race Across America I’m going to try to make Loonacy this year. First time there for me. I’ll be driving my 30’ RV hauling the SPB in an enclosed trailer from Northern California. I lived in the Twin Cities from ‘93-‘09 so really looking forward to getting back to Minnesota. Will probably leave the rig there and come back 5 weeks later for Road America.

What do I need to know about the event? How about parking and RV facilities. Is there power? Best place to park / paddock? I’ve got a side awning on the trailer so not sure I need a garage.

Glad to hear you are coming. I don’t have an RV but there is plenty of room for Parking one on the north side of the paddock with tall trees, grass, and a paved road for the race car. Probably no power there? There is also an RV park inside the middle of the track with hookups. You would need to contact the park to reserve these and pay for it. Many racers bring RVs to this event and stay in the paddock.

the event is laid back, social, and fun. Everyone should do BIR at least once and more if you lift for turn one!
