Does not change anything WRT engine mapping if you are already in Sport Plus. Maps PDK to even more aggressive shift points than Sport Plus. I believe there is a chart in the owner's manual that shows this. As I am doing my first ever HPDE this weekend (also in a 718), I will not presume to tell you where/how to use it on the track.

Huh. Does the 718 PDK have different shift points for Sport Plus compared to the 981? Because in the 981 there's no way to get more aggressive than red-line shift points, which is where it shifts in Sport Plus. Does the 718 not shift at red-line in Sport Plus? Or maybe that button gives you more aggressive shift points (to match Sport Plus's red-line shifting) across all modes?

I have used it on track a few times to see if I felt a difference in twisty sections of the track where “response” may be noticeable...I felt nothing. I looked at the data and again, nothing gained. Not really sure what the appropriate application of this feature truly is.

Per the Good to Know app:
* Faster build-up of boost pressure
* PDK switches to special gearshift map
