How much would you pay for wheel/tires to track?
A friend and I am starting a service which will store, transport track wheel/tires to drivers ed.
This service is for those who don't want a decidated track car or buy a tow truck and trailer just to use track tires.
The idea is for someone to get the track wheel/tires to us at the beginning of the season.
We will check all wheel/tires and make sure they will make a 2 to 3 days event.
Drivers will drive their cars to track, pick up tires from our trailer, change to track tires, drive, change back to street tires and go home at the end of the weekend.
We will check all wheel/tires when we get back and info owners if he/she need tires for the next event.

Customers can ship the tires to us and we will get the tires mounted with regular tire mounting fee.
We could transport tires too but will charge the same amount because they take the same amount of space.

Local race shop here in Il charges 100.00 per event. They store the tires, transport them to the track. take you street tires off and put track tires on. At the end of the weekend, the swap them back to street and tote your race tires back to the shop.

A guy down at TWS in Texas was charging last year 50 bucks to do this per event, more if you wanted tech support as well like him changing the tires etc.
Also another good scheme that we had going was that a guy who leased an enclosed garage at the track, was subleasing space and at $20 bucks a month you could have your tires stored there. That is what I used to do all last year and it worked like a charm as I could drive my car to the track.

You don't need this service if you have friends that can take your tires to the track. However, you will need to transport your tires to and from your friend's place before and after the event.
Your friend's wife would not be too happy to see an extra set of tires in her garage
So, $100 is an acceptable price I guess.

Well I think it was $100 if you change the tires for them. $50 if the customer changes their own tires.
You might want offer both services. Some guys don't have the space for the tires and can't get them to the track, but still want to save money. Some guys would probably rather have some else doing all the dirty work for them.
