Yep... 944-spec is strictly no-contact racing. Not going to be allowed or overlooked. Typically NASA 13-13 does not penalize for single cart incidents, but car to car is not allowed. Period! Drive like an idiot and you will be talked to. Keep on doing it and go home.

Wish they would delete the the shirt giveaway (or whatever) and make the track dinner optional and pass on the savings to the racers. Probably in the area of $50.

Well after all the reading I have come to the conclusion that I will do one more PCA event then go into NASA/SCCA. I had to pay 60.00 more for my check out drive and doing it on .5 mile of less track and in poor condition at that. MAM is looking better more and more. At least it is new, full course, excellent facilities and wonderful food and cost 45.00 less than HPT. I pay 125.00 for hotel in Topeka and nearly half that in Omaha/CB and drive 170 less miles to get there. Only reason I did HPT is it is not flat like MAM is, but I will take a wide open smooth technical track that is flat for the cost over a few more hills HPT has. Pardon my rant but I spent a ton of cash to get into racing PCA and now it looks as if the doors are closing rapidly!! Dal

Don't give up on PCA racing. I won't give up on it myself, but I am not going to fool myself into thinking I can do alot of PCA races.

I figure I can get 1 event per year I'd be happy. That event would be my local one.

Most of my racing will occur in NASA primaily since my car is classed perfectly for 944-spec racing. It is where I want to race. Event cost is just one factor.
