Default 981 GiroDisc 350mm Rotors on 987.2 CS?

Posted in the 987/981 forum as well, but figured I might get more answers here. I have a 981 with the 350mm GiroDisc rotors and Tarret stud conversion kit with spacer to accommodate the larger rotors. I'm currently looking to buy a 987.2 to build a track car, and I'm trying to figure out if the front rotors with the same longer studs will work? Looks like the rears are 325mm for both cars so I'm assuming I'm good there, but since GiroDisc only sells 340mm front rotors for the 987, I'm trying to figure out if I'm good to run the 350mm up front - and for some reason GiroDisc appears to be closed today.

They will not work. The front caliper and upright designs are different and the 981 rear is only an 18mm thick rotor so too skinny for the 987. You are better off using the 340 front kit and the 987 rear kit. If you want the 350 front you will have to change calipers. and possibly the upright to accept either a PCCB caliper or a 996 GT3. Wrightwood racing makes a kit to use the 996 GT3 caliper with stud adapters.
