Default Radical SR10 Debut!

I was at the North American Debut of the Radical SR10 at Spring Mountain. This is going to be an amazing car... It is faster than an SR8 and less expensive to maintain than an SR3! Here is a link to some pictures.

It's on a putting green, is it a golf cart? Looks fast for golf cart, which is cool.

Fastest golf cart in the world. Here is a picture of it bringing my clubs to the back 9 at ~160 mph

I haven't seen one in person yet, but they look awesome! I really like the AiM steering wheel they made for it and the use of the PDM. Now if I can get a chance to drive one....

The new PDM is really nice. It is surprising how solid and heavy the steering wheel is. It is has a panel of lights that shows the status of each of the powers circuits. It is a very nice system! Here is a start up video that shows how the PDM system starts the car.

Very nice. Sounds like it has a TPMS unit too.

The 80 hour engine rebuild sounds awesome but i wonder what the intervals are on other components.

Do you have to pull bodywork off and do a nuts and bolts check every weekend? This would be an interesting option for my club track if i felt i could truly self support the car other than major engine and transmission rebuilds.

My experience with any race car like this is that when driven hard, needs maintenance. You will want to nut and bolt it every event, make sure the bearings, rod ends, etc are tight and check other wear items. That is a much easier task as the majority of the body normally comes off with a few pins, clips, or locks. I haven't worked on the SR10 yet, but I would guess it's like the older Radicals and very easy to take the body off.
