991.2 GT3 Cup vs GT3R
On Sunday I had the chance to drive in the enduro with the driver I was coaching for the Peachstate PCA Club Race weekend at Road Atlanta. He just bought a 991.2 GT3 Cup Car to replace his 997 Cup Car so this was his first weekend driving the new car. We both had a blast and finished in the top-5 for the race after a red flag delay at the start. When I got in the car I was immediately chased by the overall leader, Pierce Marshall, in his 991.1 GT3R. I knew he would catch me quickly but when traffic slowed him down a bit I got to have a little fun with seeing the difference in the two cars. Man the GT3R has some grip. You can see how much grip it has in Turn 4 just before the esses. It was amazing to watch from behind for a few laps.
In the video ignore any of the gauges as we pulled the SmartyCam from his 997 Cup and we didn't reconfigure it for the 991.2 Cup. The speed and lap times are correct. That is also part of the reason the camera is a little angled to the right instead of well centered.

Uncatchable. Pro vs Amateur. Gone in 60 seconds.
He started in front of me and just gone. Huge difference in ability especially in our laps.
