1994 Porsche 968 SP3/GTS2 Race Car
Car is mechanically ready to race, but does need new belts to be legal. It's setup for NASA GTS2 or PCA SP3. I raced it in 2016 Mid Atlantic NASA GTS2 Season with multiple podium finishes, and it's only seen DE/Test and Tune's since then (I got into AER). Here's the basic setup:
Drivetrain:
unmodified 968 Motor Behe tuned for GTS2 at 216whp at 6500rpm
dual oil coilers and larger radiator
refurbished MAF with potentiometer
968 6 speed transaxle with LSD
short shifter
OEM Header
Intake
Very nice 3" open exhaust (loud but never had any sound violation issues)
Suspension:
Bilstein Cup Coilovers
ground control camber plates
spherical Bearings
Tarrett sway bars
18x10 Alleggerita wheels
275/35/18 R7 tires
Brakes:
Working ABS from 944
Massive 997 GT3 Front Brakes
Interior/Saftey:
Manual pull handle fire suppression system
external kill switch
Custom metal dash with easy access fuses and relays
Stack Dash/Guages
AFR meter
Coolshirt setup
Aluminum Ultrashield halo seat with back brace and slider (it's pretty wide).
Window Net and Belts have expired
Car/body:
2700lbs with large deep cycle battery and passenger seat
painted, not wrapped
vented hood
no glass, all lexan windows (I do have glass windows that go in the front doors when not on track)
Hartman Aero Wing
Custom fiberglass/plywood front splitter
Stock fuel tank
power steering
Car was supposedly involved in a crash at turn 10 at summit point years before I acquired it that damaged the front drivers side, it appears to have been put back together well. I never had any real contact incidents in the car (knock on wood).
Spares that I can think of off top of my head:
sets of front and rear rotors
MAF
de-powered steering rack
set of 993 Turbo Twist wheels (18x10 and 18x8.5)
set of OZ Racing wheels (18x10 and 18x8.5)
pair of enkei MT03 (18x8.5)
150lbs of ballast
5 - 5gal VPracing gas cans
air compressor
race ramps
Bunch of tires (hoosier wets, slicks, R7's) that are getting old but also stored indoors and probably fine for testing)
Trailer that I am also selling ($9k):
2015 EZ Hauler 24' lightweight aluminum trailer (3k lbs empty)
finished interior with 30amp power for front interior lights/plugs
upper and lower cabinets with workbench in front
lots of e-track on floor and l-track on walls for strapping things down
two aluminum tireracks mounted on walls in rear
driverside escape door
5k lb dual torsion axles with electric brakes
setup for anti sway and load balancing hitch which will go with it (tows great with my Tundra)
Official Racing Lap times (still posted on Speedhive or NASA GTS2 Website from 2016 season) were in the 1:22's at Summit Point's old surface, and 2:11's at VIR. This is in GTS2 Trim, so less power and over 200lbs of ballast in the car compared to the car in SP3 trim.
Everything is located in Leesburg Virginia, happy to show the car to anyone who's interested or take more pics/videos for serious buyers. Asking $18,000 for car and spares or $25,000 for everything including trailer.

Not sure why PM's are not coming through, nothing in my settings seems to limiting that function. I tried posting to your visitor messages as I couldn't send you a private message either.

Nice! That series is an absolute blast. I've taken a hiatus from racing for the past few years, been building a house and getting married starting a fam...growing up sucks. Zmon started RS Racing in 2017 and for the past few years they've been partnering with RRT to run a few teams in e36's. We had a pretty rough first couple seasons but they've been doing really well lately (knock on wood).
Poor944s2 has been asking lots of good questions about the 968, it would make a great AER car. It's currently setup with endurance racing in mind, with the huge brakes, huge gas tank, twin oil coolers and stock motor it should do the long haul quite well. It's pretty easy on these huge tires too. During the 40 minute sprint races in 100 degree heat I never saw the water temps get above 180 (it just locks in on 180) or the oil temps get over 220. Keep the rev limiter low and shift at/before 6500 and it should be happy doing laps all day. I'd be interested in being a part of that if anyone here has aspirations to do AER in a 968 (hopefully they also have a pile of spare parts

Car Sold this weekend, going to a good new home here on the East Coast and will likely appear in some PCA events in the near future. Very bittersweet, but glad it's finally going to get some consistent use.

I hope this means you will be driving with Zach & Kelsey next week at Mid-Ohio. I am happy Damon bought it. It will be well taken care of and put to good use under his ownership.
