Default Track Tire Question

Hello. I was hoping someone with some track experience can tell me if this tire is ok to be used for one more HPDE event?

These are Falken Azenis RT660. This particular one has about three days on it and some street miles.

As you can see, it is starting to peel at the edge of the sidewall. There are two of these delaminating areas, one is half and one is about an inch long.

My plan is to flip it on the wheel so that it sits on the inside, but I’m not sure if it safe.

btw I don’t drive Porsche. I have Audi s4 that I drive on track. However, since this forum is very active, I thought someone could chime in.

Thanks for the help.

As another racer said to me "A set of tires is so much cheaper than a quarter panel."

Or a trip to the hospital! Don’t risk your life, or someone else’s, on them. Get a new set, relax and enjoy.

I don't think that is going to happen...

That tire is starting to cord. Looks like a lot of wear on the outside.

Entertaining this idea for a moment, if you flip that to the inside, how would you be able to inspect it?

I don't either, and hang out here for the same reason.

As it sits you'd be lucky to make it through one session before it really goes.
If you flip it the wear will be on the inside where the camber will attack it.
From one who wears tires out for a living, toss it.
