CRAP!. they had over 120 cars signed up..... they cited the "new" quarantine guidelines involving states with spiking cases..... wtf.

Do not know how/if will affect Chin the week before..

The HSR announcement said that there would have been too many non NY State residents coming from areas requiring the two week quarantine.

I'm signed up for the Chin event July 1-2, but with their base and a lot of their clientele being from the South I wouldn't be surprised........
Fingers crossed.

SCCA cancelled their July date, too. Something about not more than 70 cars total. The SCCA region needs twice that to break even.

I was at that event last year and it was great, but they only had about 25 cars in total--lots of room out there.
They only had about 40 this year before they suspended registration.
I know the Glen has $$$$ behind them but this can't be good for them unless a higher power is making them do it.

I’m out for Chin WG cause FL. Looked at the registration list and only about 6 drivers were from FL. I got a credit to use for future events but I don’t think I will plan any road trips for the rest of the year. Just do Sebring as long as it’s open.

I just looked at the roster and there's like 30 cancellations, but still about 90 cars signed up.

Hopefully HOD is still on for July 20-21 at the Glen.

I think these things are going to be pretty dynamic. I'm at Mid Ohio now with Trans Am and SVRA. There has to be 400 entries and spectators here.

Yeah, Matt, I've been there 3 times this year and scheduled for a fourth in a couple weeks. No problems at all there with protocols or anything else..
They're being really careful here in NY and even more so across the border which is still closed (so I can't use all my prepaid days at Mosport )
