While leading the race comfortably on Sun and not pressing as you can see, picked up a significant puncture after 10a and the resulting encounter with the outside wall.

This is the right rear tire. The problem is after exiting 10B the car is almost entirely loaded on the left side and all 4 wheels are not fully required until after tracking out after T12 onto the straight, so you don’t feel the issue until it’s too late.

I’m fine thanks.
Car backed in, so wing, decklid, bumper, diffuser, exhaust pipes all toast. Hopefully not much more than that.

All sorts of debris in 10a/b Sunday. I was stopped there on a red flag incident and saw rocks all over the place, surprised there weren't more problems. I saw your slide down the front stretch and was hoping it would stay off the wall. Glad your okay.

I stayed just off the oiled down line into 10a- maybe that was just enough to pick something up to the inside. Who knows.

I do know this- it is the second time it’s happened to me. Maybe 5-6 years ago in a different car. Same thing happened- right rear- but the puncture was smaller and therefore slower. I made halfway down the straight before it’s let go completely- the car went sideways for a while before straightening out and plopping into the gravel trap by T1. No damage. Might be able to find the video.

Glad you're ok. I was out there running in TT3 in my E46. I was gridded behind you Sunday session 1. Your car looked and sounded great.

ya sorry to see that.

Glad you ok and sounds like car repair not that bad. If that was 991 cup, it would be a tub
