Default AiM Track Day Mount for S2DL & SCHD

AiM just started shipping out their new Track Day Mounts. They are a beautifully machined billet aluminum piece with a black anodized finish. The Solo 2 DL (or Solo DL) can be mounted next to the SCHD for an easy install. With what looks like a lack of instructors in cars this year, this is another tool in the kit for groups and instructors to work with students of all levels. It's a very cool setup and will be great for quick installs of systems. Mine is going in the Yukon XL Denali for the ride home and the street 914 tonight!

This was the one from the webinar yesterday? Looks awesome for cars that aren't hard wired for Aim/SCHD yet.

My suggestion to all, buy as many of these as you can. Matt has 'em ready to go. (I think).

Thanks! Had - I had an initial order come in and sold out. I'll have more early next week, but people can order on the website and I'll ship as soon as I get them. I have S2DL and cameras too! Folks should email and I am sure I can do a Rennlist combo special.

Ah yes, the good ol' RCS.....LOL

Folks should jump all over that.

Where would you put it, to the left of the steering wheel on the lower part of the windshield?

In general is there an advantage to placing the camera so far forward on the windshield vs the roll or harness bar to also capture the driver on the periphery?

In my Yukon Denali (hauling the mail, er packages to Fed Ex) I put it in the middle. Bryc at AiM did the Tail of the Dragon and mounted it by the mirror in his Subaru and ran the cords over the vison. Left by the A Pillar would be great and easy to route the cords for temporary setups. It's all user preference.

I think the rollbar is the best, but lots of folks with a Solo 2 DL and SCHD don't have a good rear mounting option and put this in their 90% street use car. This is a great option for those folks. I think it's also going to be very popular for DE groups who have a data program and want to install them in student cars. I have already sold a number to some groups doing this.

Default Got to have this mount.....

Matt is sending me one when it is available. Initially, I will mount the SCHD and SOLO 2 DL on the left side of the windshield...if at all possible. I don't want anything obstructing my vision. Of course, if this arrangement doesn't work and I can't get a good down track camera angle, I'll eat "crow" and mount it under the RV mirror. Love the taste of those feathers.
