NASCAR with center locks just seems odd...

Lance Armstrong went a single nut and won 7 Tour de France races.

My wife loves NASCAR, I do not love NASCAR. Road racing, not Grand Prix, is the real deal. NASCAR was great prior to all of the parity. Center nut locks are not for NASCAR but if they are legislating this one is because there looking for shorter pit stops but more unintended consequences because NASCAR limits the number people over the wall vs Grand Prix, Indy Racing with one nut.

NASCAR is all about TV viewers not track seats. Or maybe it is easier to not have to enforce the missing nut {ball} not tightened and then they sleep thru the pit stop

I can appreciate good oval racing - think of it as one very long endurance race on a track with 4-5 corners. Still prefer road racing.

Agree with you that NASCAR has been a snoozefest for some time and I doubt this will help it. If anything, it gets it further away from being a true "stock" car. The 18" wheels will have consequences as well assuming bigger brakes come with it.
