Default SPB Racing Video 2020 Carrera of the Americas

Since Tom's abandoned us lowly Boxster folks and isn't entertaining us with his superb race videos anymore -- AND -- I finally got mine video working...

Thought I'd share some video from this weekend.

It won't be as polished (nor as good driving), but hope you enjoy.

Start of Sprint 1
Had a mechanical that prevented me from qualifying -- so I had to start Dead Last.

Knew there were a lot of SP1 cars I should be able to catch on the back straight -- AND I wanted to just roll the car onto the trailer at the end of the week to transport to NOLA -- my plan was to take it easy on the start and let things work themselves out before trying to mix it up.

Overall I started 45th, finished 25th
In SPB I started 23rd and finished 17th.

I was pretty pleased to work my way through all the SP1 and still catch and pass 6 SPBs and a couple E class cars.

It was a lot of fun watching you guys out there. So much so, I'm trying to procure a '99 to be converted to SPB today so I can be on the track again.

Thanks for the inspiration.

Great video - thanks for posting. I’m pretty sure I saw you drive by at least once. It was my first trip to COTA and it was awesome. Everyone was very friendly and the racing was clean and competitive.

It was a long trip from Ohio - but totally worth it.

It is a hoot -- you don't have to be on the pointy end to have a blast -- you can come race with me :-)

Keep your eye out -- there are some good deals on already built SPBs -- I think I saw one posted on www.986forum.com for a reasonable price.

It will save you a ton of time, and might not be that much more than building it yourself.
