Depending on the amount of track days you are doing, Open Track is great if you are doing a bunch every season.

Open track is great to deal with....
Paid off my friend's GT3RS (no personal damage) almost immediately....

My friend has used open track. Has not made a claim but happy otherwise and reasonable pricing.

Most of the ones I have checked so far, cover Spring Mountain, where I drive.
Open Track has a warning about not being insured. And Hagerty is Insured.
So far, the quote from Hagerty seems the most reasonable for 3 days. But they don't offer full year insurance. (At least that I can find, cap out at $175k, and offer 10% and 20% deductibles).
Open Track does not cap out, and offers 5% and 10% deductibles.
I am a bit concerned about their terminology as it seems they cover HPDE and Track Day, but the words are interchangeable. Also, I am not sure if I am insuring agreed upon, book or up to values.
So - still a bit of research on my part to work on.

I've only used Hagerty to date.
We agreed on the terms. Guaranteed value. Deductible. They confirmed they covered the location (the track), me as the driver, and my instructor.
I paid with a credit card over the phone the day before the event.
Why start with a full year? Get it for an event or two and see how it goes.
